Katilyn and Becca's B-days

Becky was in Spencer with Grandma Donna and Grandpa Larry, so she didn't get to go to Kaitlyn and Becca's birthday party with us. Al and I sure had a fun time playing and spending the day totally focused on the girls though. They are just too cute. Hard to believe they are 6 and 3!!

July 4th!

What a great Fourth we had! It took us a while to get going, but decided to go to Saylorville and try out the waverunner. Becky had a blast playing in the sand and water. Al and I had fun out on the waverunner. We both took it out twice, and our friend Dawn even took it out once. It worked the entire time! We had no problems! YEAH!!! What a fun day! Becky even made it to a fireworks show. She wasn't sure she liked them, but it was short enough that she took turns sitting with Al and I and was okay. Our buddy Drake Boeding fell asleep. 10:00 is pretty late for the little ones!

She even posed for some of these pictures. It's been a while since she's done that. I was pretty excited!

This is a testament to how much your kids watch you every moment and absorb everything they see. This morning I was putting Becky's clothes away in her room, and she was just playing. She got her wipes out of the drawer, sat down on the floor and pulled one out. She then put the container back in the drawer. Then she started "wiping off" the chair and footstool in her room. I was reminded of how I'm constantly cleaning in the kitchen with the Clorox wipes. I'm sure this is where that came from. I even showed her where it was dirty so she could wipe it off. Tee Hee! Maybe one of these days she'll enjoy really cleaning and then I won't have to do it : )

Last Saturday, (June 30), Becky and I decided to go visit her cousins Katilyn and Becca since she will miss their birthday party this year. They had so much fun playing together. It really was fun to watch the three of them play! Oh, what fun there will be in the years ahead!

Becky loves playing outside, so if it's not too hot, we try to let her before dinner. She has a sandbox on the sunporch (which is why if you look closely, you can see sand all around her mouth) and this slide outside. What fun!!

Father's Day

Yes, I realize Father's Day was almost a month ago. However, I had not gotten around to posting, so this is what Al got to do with Becky after spending most of the day working on the basement (his choice, by the way. I didn't make him!)

He did get to watch a few episodes of The Office as well. Becky and I got him the second season. It wasn't ALL work that day!

What a mess!

One night at supper, Becky thought she was HILARIOUS! She was having so much fun laughing and putting cottage cheese and applesauce in her hair, that I just had to snap some pictures. It was a situation where I decided to let her be and just take pictures to embarrass her some day. It did take me a while to get her hair washed good that night, but it sure was soft!!
