soccer

Here are some pics I took at one of Becky's soccer games.  I haven't been able to go to very many, as I've been running races or taking court reporter tests.  But....here is our little girl going after that ball.  Atta girl!

here she is hanging out on the sidelines

our soccer star is number 2!

If you look close enough...you can see Coach Al in the background!

Their last soccer game is Saturday.  I will miss it yet again...I am running the Dam to Dam 20K.  What in the world was I thinking when I signed up for that one?  Oh, yeah.  Soccer will be over because it will be June AND I will be able to run that far by then.  I'm so not ready, (still have never ran farther than 6.5 miles) but I'm going to do it anyway, even though my running partner who PROMISED me there was no way she would EVER back out has hurt her knee and I will be running solo!  Enough of my whining.  Becky has really enjoyed soccer and has learned quite a lot.  I'm not sure it was as much fun for Al.  At least Becky has listened to him (at least as much as the other kids) so that part of it was nothing to worry about!

end of April

The rest of April proved to be a busy month, just like May is starting out to be!  Here is a picture of Colby cuddling up to great grandma because she had Doritos!  (I'm sad to say that Grandpa is back in the hospital right now, but he seems to be doing better.)

Then he put it over his head and was running around the house laughing at himself.

I got the tent made in a weekend.  Yeah!  It's not fabulous by any means, but I made it and Becky and Colby love to play in it, and that's all that really matters!

Becky had her school program.  It was all about "being green" to the world

She had three different speaking parts.  We were so proud of her!

Becky also got to play bells one night during a church program.
So... April finished out with a bang, I guess.  Hard to believe there is only one month of Becky's first school year left to go.  Al and I celebrated 12 years on the 29th.  What an amazing 12 years it has been!  So glad we're on this roller coaster together!  We didn't get to go out to celebrate, but we put the kids to bed and ordered take out from Chicago Speakeasy and watched  a movie.  The kids actually both stayed in bed and let us celebrate that way, so it was nice.  I couldn't even tell you the last time we were able to sit through a movie without having to pause it because one of the kids needed something!
