first trip to the zoo

When Larry and Donna were in town visiting, we made it to the zoo Saturday afternoon.  Most of the animals were really active because it was cool.  So glad to be able to spend time at the zoo again!

There was a lot of cool, new stuff that was added.  However, apparently it was too cold in Des Moines that day for the animals from Africa to be out...so we are still waiting to meet those rhinos!

Becky had a church music program on Mother's Day.  She did a great job.  So proud!

They sang Noah's Arky Arky.  Love that song!  Brings back good memories!

Thanks, Larry and Donna for spending time with us over Mother's Day weekend.  We had a great time.  The kids love having you visit us, and so do we!

Boone is three!

Boone turned 3 on April 28.  We went to Muscatine last weekend to help him celebrate his birthday.  He's such a big boy! Now if he could just tell his cousin how much fun it is to be potty-trained :)

All the kids had so much fun playing and running around.  So glad the Stewarts are closer now and we can see them more often!  Colby did not take a nap on the way to Muscatine.  After hours of playing and playing and playing with Boone, he finally crashed while watching Elmo.  He woke up when we left and fell asleep again 10 minutes from home.  Little stinker!  At least he stayed asleep when we got home!
