future photographers?

Bode came over one night in January for a couple hours. They had fun playing, of course. They always do!

They even took turns taking pictures. Here is Bode's masterpiece! And here is Becky's!

I don't know...I think they could both have pretty promising careers!

January pics

We had a nice January. We got to watch Emma for a few hours... Becky and Daddy got to cuddle...
Becky got to pose as a princess...

and we all got to snowmobile again!

We decided to go visit Spencer one weekend in early January because they had so much snow. Everyone got a turn. Boy, was it fun! Thanks Mom and Larry!

Becky's "pink" bath

While the bathroom project was going on, Becky had to take a bath in the basement in a tub. As you can see....she HATED it! In fact, the first time she got to take a bath in the newly redone one, she first said, "No. I want the pink one." After her first bath, though, she realized it was much better to be able to "swim" even though it was fun to take a "pink bath" for a while.

Bathroom update!

Al and I decided we needed to get ou bathroom redone. Water was leaking from the caulking around the tub into the basement. Not a big deal, but something that wasn't going to go away. This is what we started with. We thought it was going to be a two- maybe three-day project. We had one of Al's coworker's husbands come help us.

This is as far as Al got.
This is what Steve had to do...the entire plaster walls were taken down. What a mess!

But here, just two weeks later, is our wonderful new bathroom!

And we finally (I think!) got most of the dust cleaned up yesterday from all the plaster. I don't think we've ever eaten out so much in our lives. We just couldn't stand to be in such a dusty, dirty house! Things are back to normal now, though, and Becky is playing in the bathtub right now and loving it!

Snow fun

drinking hot cocoa (aka eating marshmallows!)

all bundled up for winter fun!

Here I go!

Here we go! It's more fun together!

Christmas in Spencer

having a tea party!

Christmas night

Brenda and Stew had us over Christmas night for dinner. Becky and Bode had a blast, as usual!
Becky enjoyed being Bat Girl. It's the first thing she grabs when she goes over there. She sure makes her daddy proud when she wants to be a superhero and not a princess!

Christmas Eve

Here are some pictures from Christmas Eve with my family in Mt. Ayr.

The three darlings from big to small: Kaitlyn, Becca, Becky

Becky and Uncle Eric
Tatum, Melissa's little girl

Becky loved holding Tatum. She didn't want to give anyone else a turn!

She kept giving her kisses too. So cute!

Becky in her Christmas pjs ready to head home!

Christmas morning

Here are a few pictures of Becky Christmas morning.

Shutterfly up and running!

I finally got a new Shutterfly page going for us! I don't know what happened to the old one, but for some reason it disappeared. The new web site address is aljosjohnsonpics.shutterfly.com. You can also just click on the link to the right titled Johnson family pics to get there too. Hope you enjoy them if you take the time to look at them. There are a lot, as I'm sure you can imagine!

Christmas in Mt. Ayr 2008

Here are a few pictures from the weekend we celebrated Christmas in Mt. Ayr. We sure had a good time!

This ballerina was quite possibly the biggest hit. All the girls wanted to take a turn "dancing" with her!

Thanks, Brenda!

Just want to say thanks for the tip on using Picasa instead of trying to post pics from my computer. Worked so much better. I would have never figured that out on my own! Now I can try to be better about keeping everyone updated. Ha! I'm not making any promises. My next project to tackle will be Shutterfly. Wish me luck!

Christmas cookies!

Becky got to help me cut out and decorate cookies this year. I was very excited to do this with her, as I always loved helping my mom make sugar cookies. What a great tradition I hope we can continue to do for years! It was a little messy, but we sure had fun!

The end result. That's a lot sugar, buy, boy, were they yummy!
